The boys have been talking up a storm in the last few weeks. Blake came in our room one morning a couple weeks ago to tell us he was sick, he didn't look sick, but apparently it was the start of a little bug floating around here. No one got it too bad, but Drew's turned into that distinctive croup cough Thursday morning. Thursday after work I took him to the doctor to give him the magic pill...my the evening he sounded much better. He gives himself his medicine and tells me he's sick. Daddy told him tonight if he eats his dinner it will make him feel better, Drew replied, "no, medicine". Kyle had a hard time arguing that one! They talk in sentences and it's mostly clear. Blake told me he missed me yesterday after I came home from grocery shopping....I've only heard him tell that to Bella! Drew told me on the way to the doctor last Thursday, "Mommy, Rachel", I said "What?", he repeated what I thought I heard! Today at nap, Blake told me I was pretty...that's nice to hear when you feel like a bum!! This evening the boys were having a party in their room during bedtime and pulled some stuffing out of Blake's pillow pet...Blake then demonstrated and told us he was making a snowman guy! It's so hard not to laugh at the things they say, even in those moments you technically aren't suppose to! They have a pushing fight every now and then, but they have gotten better at working it out between the 2 of them.
They are on their way to being potty trained! It's been challenging the last couple weeks with all the extra fluids I've been giving them, traveling, the festivities, and new dog and toys! Although, they did awesome through all of that and have even gone in public restrooms.
We've started to look at preschools...we are planning to start in the fall, so we have plenty of time to make our decision. I can't believe they will be 3 in 3 months!! They've already decided they wanted a Cars birthday party....at least they agree, makes my job easier!!
We've been playing indoor soccer this fall/winter and have 2 more weeks left- pictures to come. Overall, the boys have enjoyed it. If nothing else they have learned "Green means go" and "Red means stop"! I'm told at almost every light when to stop and go....in stereo!!
We start school this week through April at the Parkway Early Childhood Center- this class is "Picky Eaters", wonder if we will discover a new food Drew likes. If they start preschool this fall, this will be our last semester with the child-parent interactive classes (so sad)!
