You would think it is looking like progress...
AHHHH! New windows = BIG mess! Or, "Uh-oh"!
Well, with a few set backs, builder mistakes (in our favor), and more gray hairs....we are now set to close on the new house 9/20!! With a move in date 9/24 or 9/25 (details still a work in progress). Since the last pic of the house, it has gotten a little transformation. Our first floor windows in the front of the house now have half moon windows instead of the shutter fan thingys. Little did we know, that mistake would require them to rip out 2 walls and some ceiling in the front two rooms. A BIG set back since the flooring and lighting is just about finished! We walked in the other day to a house that had looked like a bomb went off!! Also, another BIG "uh-oh" by the builder- we originally had a patio that was going to be installed, however when decided to go a different route, we had them take it off of our contract back in MAY! Well, to our surprise Friday, there was the 16x22 patio we had originally had in the contract. So, we will work with what they poured and have a nice start to our patio for NO CHARGE.When building a new home, it's expected to have some bumps in the road, highs and lows, and much ANTICIPATION!! However, the anticipation is driving us crazy!! By the time we finally move in, we will have been on this roller coaster for over a year (almost 1/2 of the boys' lives). Needless to say, we are more than ready to settle in, get our belongings out of stoarge, have a new home and new neighbors! Kyle and I are looking forward to overhead lighting and being able to use our alarm clocks again!
