Nap time has been challenging lately. Blake climbs out of his crib, grabs toys to put in each of their cribs, empties He is very graceful when climbing in and out without a peep! Last week, somehow he managed to get his right leg stuck between the slats of the crib! He was screaming "Ouch!"- I went in their to find his poor knee sticking out of the crib! He was screaming and freaking out! I was "calmly" freaking out while I pulled the slats apart to release his leg. I thought I was going to have to either break the crib or call the fire department! I then thought to myself we will have to convert to toddler beds because the crib would be broken! I pulled the slats apart, and told him to pull his leg back, he did and he was freed!!! Kyle called in the middle of all this- must have been his "father's intuition"! Luckily, we didn't get to meet the fire department! Unlike how we met the O'Fallon Fire Dept and Police Dept, I'd like to meet the Lake St. Louis Fire Dept on a fun visit to the firehouse, on our terms!
We have our toddler beds in storage and are HOPING to hold out until we are adjusted to the new house/room situation! The master bedroom is on the first floor and their room is upstairs. We'd love to wait until they are 3 to make the transition! Since he can get to whatever he wan't to anyway, it would make it more inviting! Drew loves his crib and will only jump back and forth from his crib to Blake's. Funny thing (knock on wood), this have never been an issue when we go to the Lake. Blake has jumped in Drew's pack n' play after we got him out of his, but never jumped out of his! Thank Goodness!
