We had our 1st Parent Teacher Conferences the week of Thanksgiving. I'm so glad Kyle was there to witness everything the teacher said, because I'm sure he wouldn't have believed me! lol! The boys are apparently opposites at school from how they interact and behave at home. INTERESTING! I'd have thought she had them completely confused if I hadn't had some discussions throughout the last few months they've been there.
Drew: He listens all the time, is the first to clean up and gets all the other kids to clean up. Drew talks softly at school and they frequently have to tell him to speak up (are you serious?!) At home he does like to be clean, but he needs some repetition to stop what he's doing to clean up at home and you can barely fit a word in edgewise when he's talking (all of the time). He has a lot to say at home and will tell you EVERYTHING that happened at school, including when Blake gets in trouble (which has only been a couple of times). She also went on to say that they are smart little cookies and she's impressed with how they both remember the books and songs they've learned on Tuesday and answers the questions on Thursdays! They also both love their Spanish class on Tuesdays, she said they attend like it's the best thing ever! You'd never know...they don't ever mention anything about Spanish! Although, they can cound to 10 in Spanish, but Daddy taught them that!
Blake: Blake got "improved sharing" on his report card. At first apparently he didn't like to give up a toy he was playing with, but that has improved. We were glad to hear this, since he gives Drew just about everything he asks for....even his underware or shirt he is wearing! Blake has a backbone! Yea!! He's just a softy for his brother! Blake talks all the time at school, but is quieter at home.
We were glad to hear that the boys have different best buddies at school and don't sit together all the time and like to go their separate ways. We thought about trying to split them up when we had an option, but since they seem to be their own individual in the same class, it doesn't seem to be an issue. I think they enjoy the break from each other since they play, sleep and eat together at home!
