TARGET....

The boys LOOOOOOVE Target (and so do I), but this past visit was quite an eye opening experience for me. I picked the boys up from preschool and on our way out they each picked up a business card. Then, Drew insisted that we go to Target tonight. I needed some stuff (of course) anyways, so we headed to Target. We filled the cart and they each picked out a small toy. Drew was asking for some high priced items I told him to put on his Christmas list. This was how the conversation went...
Drew & Blake in unison: "I want the big T-Rex."
Mommy: "That's too expensive, lets put it on your Christmas list and ask Santa."
Drew: "I'm NOT sitting on his lap."
Mommy: "Ok, we will write him a letter."
Drew: "Now?"
Mommy: "No, in a little while."
Drew: "No, I buy T-Rex with my CARD."
Mommy: (Trying to not laugh hysterically) "You don't have enough money on your card."
Drew: Appeared confused that there was money on his card- I think the concept went over his head!

At the checkout lanes the boys tried to pay with their cards! I never carry cash, and we always use our debit card....the boys just assume you hand them a card and pay! Oh my have times changed! I will start carrying cash!!! We don't have a home phone is either...I wonder what they would think to talk on a phone attached to a wall!
