2011 Easter Egg Hunt

We went to Founders Park in Lake St. Louis this year to try out their Easter festivities. The weather was perfect, it was hot by the time the egg hunt began! The boys brought their dinosaur and airplane baskets to fill with eggs! I had to convince Drew to empty his basket full of "stuff" so he could have room for eggs. That litte buy loves to carry everything with him! He had cars, trains, his bunny, a stuffed little puppy with magnetic feet, and whatever else he could fit! He agreed to dump it and head to the events. They had the Easter Bunny, which neither cared to visit (they prefered to ride the horses), 2 fire trucks, an ambulance, bounce houses, and a few playgrounds to play on.

We decided since they were soooo close to 3, they should go on the field with the 3-4 year olds. Apparently, this is the step where parents stand on the sidelines to take pictures, while at least 50 3-4 year olds run across a huge field. Blake took off after they counted down to 1, while Drew decided to watch the madness. Blake filled his basket with at least 20 eggs, while Kyle helped Drew to get 1. Blake was one of the first across the field. Since they weren't staying together in the egg madness we decided Daddy would keep an eye on Drew, while I watched for Blake. They had a great time, and since Blake doesn't mind sharing Drew got plenty of eggs and candy. Although, next year he might need to work a little harder.
