Update from the Laramie Fam...

HOUSE: We are anticipating a closing date on our new house Sept 9th! However, since we will have the apartment until the end of Sept, we are planning to paint some bedrooms, hang lighting, and get things situated before we live there. Followed by a big move and retrieval of our belongings from storage on Sept. 25! We cannot wait to unpack everything we threw in boxes after over 5 months! It may be entertaining and frustrating since we threw everything in boxes to get out of the house in less than 2 weeks! At the time we seemed somewhat organized, but at this point that is all a blur. We might call it Christmas in September!

The boys are with us most of the time when we go to check on the house (daily) and say, "Bye, bye house" as we drive away! Last weekend we stopped at the house before coming home to the apartment, as we pulled up, they both said, "Home?". We looked at each other and then said, "No, we aren't home YET". I think they are confused about why we drive by our "house" and when we pull up to our "house" we aren't "home".

DREW: He is clean and is enjoying bathtime once again! Thank goodness- I LOVE CLEAN boys!! It was only a week where he was convinced there were "bugs" in the tub, but that was a LONG week!

BLAKE: The climber! He has been gracefully and quietly climbing in and out of his crib for quite awhile! More times than I think we know about! The other night I put them to bed, left and ran some errands (Kyle was home). When I came home I checked on them- I found books in their beds that weren't there when I put them in there and toys were out that I know I put away! I then asked Kyle if he had to put Blake in his bed and if he knew Blake was playing in there. He didn't hear a thing or have a clue what I was talking about. So...Blake apparently played with some toys, read some books and shared with Drew, then decided he was tired and climbed back in his crib to fall fast asleep on his pillow---all before anyone came in to check on him! Wow!

We have been holding out for some transitions until we move (the toddler beds and full blown potty training)   and until everyone adjusts to our new environment (hopefully after the holidays) The boys' bedrooms will be upstairs and ours will be downstairs. I think it will be more of an adjustment for us not having them in our line of sight 90% of the time or having to go upstairs if someone needs us in the middle of the night (which isn't very often). I will probably be following them around the house for the first few days or weeks- keeping them in line as they test new limits! It'll be a great workout!
