A Fun Filled Weekend!

They carried around those dinosaurs, snake and lizard around all weekend- awake and asleep!

This past weekend we celebrated Memorial Day at the Lake! The boys have changed quite a bit since the last time we were there (October). I was worried that we'd have a hard time keeping them entertained the whole time, but I was pleasantly surprised! Last year they hated their life jackets- we barely got them on for a picture! This year they loved them and couldn't wait to put them on! They loved playing in their new water table, playing with their "lake toys" that they haven't seen in months (it was like Christmas), going on a boat ride, and playing in and around the pool! We went on a boat ride with some friends Sunday morning! The boys were so excited about this boat ride Daddy kept talking about! They loved it! The wind blew threw their hair and they loved to watch the boats and wave runners go by! Drew fell asleep on the way back to our dock, can't say I blame him it was perfect weather for a boat ride!

We hung out at the pool a little bit each day. At first they weren't going to have any part of that BIG pool! Part of the reason we think they didn't like it at first was that the life jacket goes up when they go in up under their chin (it doesn't look too comfy). By the second day Blake was in heaven just about jumping in! He loved to sit on the edge and put his feet in the water. However, Drew our more cautious of the 2, didn't really want to have anything to do with it! He would go in with Kyle for a short time, but wasn't too happy about it. While Blake was going in and out of the water to retrieve his toys with Daddy, Drew would hang his toes over the edge of the pool just flirting with the idea of going in! Blake stood next to him on the edge of the pool looked at him and said to him, "Go in there!" (while pointing to the pool)! It was so cute! The other people at the pool got a kick out of watching them!

The most challenging part of the weekend was nap time, the boys would be completely worn out, but knew they were missing the fun! I was paranoid that they were going to jump out of their pack n plays upstairs! The first day I let them sleep on our bed, when they woke up I heard a thump, went to the stairs and saw 4 little legs walking down the hallway! Bedtime was a breeze- we exhausted them and by 8:15 they were out! The rest of the evening Kyle and I hung out on the deck enjoying the weather and the view! We are so relieved they enjoy the lake as much as we do!
