I feel like I just updated this yesterday for the 14 month mark! I think that this year is going by much faster than the 1st. I'm enrolling the boys in some classes for the fall and they will be in the 17-23 month old group. It's so hard to believe! Driving home from the lake this weekend I look back at them in their big boy carseats and they look like "big boys"! Everyday they are doing something new! This weekend I called Drew a goof ball and he repeated clear as day "goof ball", they repeat everything! They follow so many directions, tell us "no", can tell us what sounds animals make, point to body parts, and do sommersaults (well, with a spot). A few weeks ago they were standing in front of us and getting on all fours with their butts in the air, then it occured to me that they were trying to do sommersaults (like we learned at the Little Gym). Now all I have to say is "let's do sommersaults" or "tuck your head" and they get in position. It's entertaining for all of us! We can't wait to see what's in store this next month! Each month is more fun than the last!
Here are some pics of the boys turning 15 months at the lake. Blake started his morning out pouring the dog's water all over him, then slipping in the water hitting the back of his head on the deck, then he was playing with the wine rack and it fell on him (a small metal fish), and there was something else, but I can't remember! Then that evening Kyle sprained his ankle walking down the steps- the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! (Kyle also got bit by a dog last weekend, cut his finger during a self manicure, and I am sure there was somthing else, but who can keep track)! Drew- hasn't had any injuries since falling on his face a couple of weekends ago. He fell going down the curb and actually hasn't tried to go over the curb since. He's a quick learner!
Here are the lasted stats on the monkeys:
Drew: Weight 23 lbs.- 28%
Height 32 inches- 77%
Blake: Weight 22.15 lbs.-27%
Height 32 1/2 inches- 87%
Tall and thin boys- just like their Daddy! Drew took the lead in weight, by an ounce! Drew has recently boycotted veggies so we will be drinking V8 Fusion! I am sure he would opt for that versus polyvisol! The doc said it's not uncommon for them to become picky eaters at this age, but I will try the cocktail to see if I can trick him! Oh, and Drew didn't hesitate to show the pediatrican his throwing arm- he confirmed that we have a future Cardinal pitcher on our hands (hey, he's a doctor-he knows what he's talking about)! Drew was mad after his shots and threw the tongue depressor at him as he left the room- I think we are creeping towards the "terrible twos"??
The boys did awesome eating spaghetti in a bowl with a fork tonight and it was WAY less messy!! We've been introducing utensils the past few months and they really seem to be more patient and accurate lately! Maybe they will eat the Thanksgiving dinner with utensils- without throwing them on the floor.

The boys sure are keeping you busy! Blake does look like a little man with his cute new hairstyle.
