Another trip to the ER...this time for Blake!

How do you entertain a 9 month old in a 12x12 hospital room for...7 hours!? Well, Kyle & I had that challenge (one of many and counting) last evening! Blake had been a little wheezy since Friday at the pediatrician's office, but the doc said that it would get better with the meds he was on. Well, it got a little worse as the weekend went on and when he woke up from his afternoon nap at the sitters he was more wheezy. The sitter called me and I quickly left work to go pick him up. The doc's office said that if he sounded wheezy to go to the ER. So, the poor little guy is getting over croup, has 2 ear infections, is teething like mad, and now has PNEUMONIA (the doc also referred to the wheezing as baby asthma)! 3 breathing treatments and 7 hours later we we're discharged! He now has a puffer that we will use every 4 hours for a few days. It's amazing the little guy is smiling and laughing!

Blake was such a good boy during the whole thing! Only a brief second of getting mad when they tested him for RSV (a swab stuck up each nostril to the back of his nose)- he gave the nurse a dirty look- can't say I blame him! During the breathing treatments, the respiratory therapist said that he was the best baby she'd seen in 3 years!

Today, he sounds so much better, he slept through the night (hallelujah)! Now we are just hoping that Drew doesn't get this virus! It's been a rough 2 weeks and the last 2 weeks of work can't end soon enough! I am home with the boys today and we will have to see about the rest of the week, one day at a time!

Good lord, you all have not had the best luck with steering clear of any viruses or anything going around. Seems like the poor lil guys always have ear infections. Baby athsma? just temporary? Knock on wood besides that one virus a few weeks ago thats the only thing tat we've had in a really long time. I hope your all four of yous that when you are home with them they will get and stay healthier. Once spring gets here seems like there is less going around. Do the other kids at the sitters have all these issues? Anyways. All the pics and the videos you posted recently of them sharing and playing are great. They are getting so big. Wait till they start walking, Ha. Kiera is trying to run from me allready :) chasing 2 can get very interesting eccpecially if they decide to take off in different directions. Enjoy the limited mobility while it lasts. Take Care!
